Project Rockefeller Is Retiring
Our walk-through school prototype is being officially retired and deleted. The idea lives on as the Walk-Through-School Konzept.
Some projects are built to stay. Others are built to prove a point. Project Rockefeller was the second kind, and it has done its job. We're officially retiring it, and once it's retired, it will be deleted.
That covers both Rockefeller pages: the 3D concept website for the Mittelschule an der Rockefellerstraße and the Streitschlichtung beta page that went with it.

What Project Rockefeller was
If you missed it, here's the full story. In short, it was a 3D concept website for a real school in Munich, built entirely in the browser. The whole campus was modelled in a soft, papercraft style:
- the long four-storey building, split between Mittelschule and Grundschule
- a scroll tour that lifts off the roof and every floor until you're standing on the ground floor, next to the stage, the Mensa and the Kiosk
- the courtyard with its lawns, the sports hall, and a sports field full of players
- a loader that counts real progress, plus a layout that works on phones
It was also a staff preview, never the school's official website.

From prototype to concept
Project Rockefeller was our first prototype: the first time we turned a real building into something you can walk through by scrolling, floor by floor and room by room. We kept refining it until the end. In its final update we rebuilt the whole sports grounds from aerial photos so the model matched the real campus: one big multi-use field, the running track along the front, the sand pits and beach volleyball court on the left edge, and the sports hall with its planted roof next to it.

What comes next
The idea doesn't retire. It continues as the Walk-Through-School Konzept from Fozmu Studios. We'll share more about it here on fozmu.news when there is something real to show.
Until it's gone
For now the pages stay online. A new last section on the concept page already announces the retirement. Once the project is deleted, the links in this post will stop working, so if you want to scroll through the building one more time, now is the moment.

Thanks to everyone who walked through it with us.
